Happy People Make Amazing Things

For Boll & Branch, strong ethics are non-negotiable.

It's pretty amazing to sleep on the world's softest sheets, but Boll & Branch knows it takes more than nice linens to make for a good night's sleep. That's why we're dedicated to creating a world where everyone lives better, works safer, and has the best for themselves and their families. That's why we make three core promises to ourselves and our customers:

1. No Child Labor. Ever. Period. End of story. Our sheets are crafted by adults who are paid a fair wage in above-standard work conditions that keep everyone's health and safety in mind.

2. Community Focus. We believe in paying it forward. So do the communities where our cotton farmers and their families come from. We pay a fair, premium price for the cotton used in all of our products and, in turn, a portion of money goes towards helping to build community centers, provide clean water, and otherwise improve the lives of the people who work so hard to make Boll & Branch products so fantastic.

3. Fair Trade Certified. Every farm and factory we work with is Fair Trade Certified, so you rest knowing Boll & Branch products are made ethically by workers who are treated well and are working by choice. Forced labor plagues the textiles industry and we’re proud that our supply chain proves that amazing quality products can be sold at low prices without compromising ethics.

Organic Cotton is Better Cotton

We prefer not to sleep or lounge in pesticides and chemicals, so we make sure our cotton is 100% GOTS-certified organic.

Less than 1% of the world's cotton is grown organically. Most people don't give much thought to what cotton they're bringing home, yet the differences between organic and non-organic cotton are vast. Organic cotton farming has less impact on the environment, uses less water in its production, and creates a product that is guaranteed to be safe and gentle on you and your family.

Non-organic cotton depletes soil and requires heavy irrigation (read: wasted water to produce. It also requires heavy use of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and Genetically Modified Organisms [GMOs].) Not only is this bad for the environment, it can translate to poor quality cotton and an itchy night's sleep for you.

The prevalence of non-organic cotton on all aspects of our lives is a problem few consider when picking out their clothes and linens. Yet, it's a progressively worsening problem with both local and global ramifications. At Boll & Branch, we're committed to doing things a better way. For you, for our planet, and for our global family.
