Established in 1939 in Panipat, India, an area known as the “City of Weavers,” this partner was one of India’s first vertically integrated manufacturers for handicrafts. While the founder traveled far, taking inspiration in foreign techniques, it was his eye for an old Japanese technology that would provide the foundation for the hand-tufting craft this factory has become known for. This partner remains a leader of innovation and design in hand-woven rugs to this day.
First in Responsible Wool Rugs
This partner had been looking for a high-quality and sustainably made raw material for some time, and found the very best in New Zealand. It was the shared prioritization of holding business practices to higher ethical standards that led this partner to work with our wool source. This rug maker just needed a brand that wanted to invest in quality and sustainability, too. We were thrilled to join this set of visionaries. Together, we make the finest hand-tufted rugs from the softest, most incredible New Zealand wool.
