Materiality Certifications
These certifications evaluate the fibers that go into making our products - from the threads used to weave our Sheets to the fill of our Duvet Inserts.

Masters of FLAX FIBRE™
The Masters of FLAX FIBRE, formerly European Flax™, is a certification that ensures integrated crop management practices - such as zero irrigation and low-impact farming - and provides European origin traceability from fiber to finished product.

GOTS
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, and ensures a product is made the right way - not the easy way - at every step.

GRS
The IDFL Down Standard (IDS) ensures that all down and feathers are ethically sourced and traceable, and meet rigorous quality and animal welfare standards through inspection and testing at every stage of the supply chain.

The Organic 100 Content Standard (OCS) uses third-party verification to ensure that products contain at least 95% certified organic materials.

PrimaLoft®
PrimaLoft is a hypoallergenic, high-performance syhtnetis insulation made from recycled fibers. Designed without using animal-derived materials, it mimics the warmth, loft, and softness of down while remaining lightweight, water-resistant, and easy to care for.

RCS
The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verifies the presence and percentage of recycled content and provides supply chain traceability, allowing us to maintain transparency and responsible sourcing for products with lower recycled content percentages that do not meet the GRS thresholds.

RDS
The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) aims to protect ducks and geese used for down by treating them humanely, and gives companies and consumers a way of knowing what's in the products they buy. This ensures to the highest possible standard that the down and feathers we use don't come from animals that have been subjected to unnecessary harm.

RWS
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certifies wool that comes from farms prioritizing the ethical treatment of sheep and responsible stewardship of the land. It ensures that the wool used in our products meets the highest animal welfare and environmental standards.

Supima®
Supima cotton is a premium, extra-long staple fiber grown exclusively in the United States. It's known for exceptional softness, strength, and color retention. The Supima® name guarantees superior quality cotton that supports American farms through responsible growing practices.

Textile Exchange
We are proud members of Textile Exchange, a global non-profit driving positive impact on climate through preferred fibers, integrity, and standards. As part of this community, we are committed to accelerating the adoption of sustainable materials and responsible supply networks in our products and practices.

Fair Trade Certified™ sets standards to promote safe working conditions and improved livelihoods for farmers and factory workers in developing nations through fair wages and premiums. This means everyone who works in a Fair Trade Certified Factory on a Boll & Branch product is paid and treated fairly.

HAP (HireAPartner)
We partner with HireAPartner (HAP), a supply chain compliance platform, to conduct a social audits that ensure alignment with our Code of Conduct.

The MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX label verifies that a product has been tested for harmful substances and manufactures in environmentally friendly facilities under socially responsible working conditions.

BlueSign®
The bluesign system ensures that textiles are produced with the highest level of consumer safety, minimal impact on people and the planet, and responsible use of resources. It screens every chemical used in production against strict safety and environmental criteria, promoting clean inputs, efficient processes, and safe working environments.

Hohenstein Medically Tested
The Hohenstein Medically Tested label confirms that the product has been tested for cell toxicity and sensitization. Cell toxicity testing ensures products do not damage human cells, confirming that the fabric is non-toxic at a cellular level and safe for prolonged skin contact. Sensitization tests a products's potential to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. Products that pass this test are considered non-sensitizing, making them suitable for sensitive skin.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 sets the standard for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every product carrying the label has passed laboratory tests for harmful substances.
