The Good Cashmere Standard® (GCS) is an independent, third-party-verified certification developed by the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF)—one of the few sustainability standards focused exclusively on cashmere fiber. It requires farm-level compliance audits and is expanding toward full traceability from origin to finished product. GCS supports responsible animal welfare, improved herder livelihoods, and greater supply chain transparency. Very few home textile suppliers currently hold this certification, and our line is among a small number of certified orders in the home category.

Is cashmere warm enough to use as a throw blanket?

Yes, cashmere provides up to three times the insulation of sheep's wool despite being significantly lighter. This throw is designed to be warm in colder months while remaining breathable and comfortable year-round. It's not a heavy, winter-only layer: it's a true all-season throw.

Why does my cashmere throw pill, and what should I do?

Light pilling is a completely natural characteristic of cashmere and other fine animal fibers, and is most common in areas of regular friction. It is a sign of the fiber's authenticity and quality, not a defect. Pilling will lessen over time as loose fibers naturally shed and the textile stabilizes. To remove pills, use a specialized wool or cashmere comb. Never use a razor or rough surface, which can damage the fibers.
