The Mosaic Waffle Duvet Cover is a shell that you pair with your own duvet insert, giving you more control over warmth and loft. If you like the ease of one layer, choose the comforter. If you prefer to customize your fill, choose the duvet.

Does the waffle texture stay after washing?

Yes, the waffle texture holds its shape and dimension after washing. The machine tacking that runs through all layers is specifically designed to keep the fill in place and preserve that texture over time. We recommend following the care instructions closely (wash in a commercial machine, not a standard home washer) for the best results over time.

Why does this comforter need to be washed in a commercial washer?

The size and fill weight of this comforter require the drum capacity of a commercial washer to wash and dry evenly without damaging the fill or fabric. A standard home machine may not agitate it sufficiently or dry it thoroughly, which can affect the fill's loft and distribution over time.

Is the Mosaic Waffle Comforter prone to snagging?

Because waffle fabric has an open, looped weave structure, it can be more susceptible to snagging than smooth-faced fabrics. We engineered our waffle weave to be more snag-resistant than our standard waffle, and tested it accordingly. However, we still recommend taking care around sharp jewelry and pets.

The Mosaic Waffle Comforter is designed for a bed that feels as beautiful as it looks, all with the ease of one layer. After it’s woven with 100% organic cotton on a jacquard loom, the textured fabric is then treated with a special two-step wash for an exceptionally soft hand feel from night one. This comforter is filled with hypoallergenic, 100% recycled polyester and finished with quilted tacking to keep the fill evenly distributed wash after wash.
