What's the difference between the Mosaic Waffle Duvet Cover and Comforter?

The Mosaic Waffle Duvet Cover is a shell that you pair with your own duvet insert, giving you full control over warmth and loft. The Mosaic Waffle Comforter is a complete, all-in-one layer: no insert needed. If you prefer to customize your fill, choose the duvet cover. If you like the ease of one layer, choose the comforter.

What insert should I use with this duvet cover?

Any of our duvet inserts will work. Keep in mind that the Mosaic Waffle fabric itself is one of our weightier fabrications, so if you sleep warm, we'd recommend pairing it with our Lightweight Duvet Insert. If you love a cozy, substantial feel, our Midweight or Ultraweight Duvet Inserts will give you that full, enveloping experience.

Does the waffle texture stay after washing?

Yes, the waffle texture holds its shape and dimension after washing. The special two-step wash process the duvet cover undergoes in its making is specifically designed to set the texture and reduce shrinkage, so the waffle arrives as it will look after future washes. Follow the care instructions closely for the best results over time.

Is the Mosaic Waffle Duvet Cover prone to snagging?

Because waffle fabric has an open, looped weave structure, it can be more susceptible to snagging than smooth-faced fabrics. We engineered our waffle weave to be more snag-resistant than our standard waffle, and tested it accordingly. We also designed the zipper construction specifically to minimize contact with the waffle fabric. That said, we still recommend taking care around sharp jewelry and pets.
